Keel strip

Iron or plastic strip that runs over the outside keelson and allows the boat to slide over a surface. Present at Wherries and C-boats.

Keelson

A structure timber resembling the keel, but on the inside of the shell.

Kicking through the seat

Mistake where the trunk becomes more horizontal during the draw. Main article: Kicking through the seat.
